Barr Filter Media’s journey began over 3 decades ago, when Judy Gaines founded AaA Basic Filter Media with just a handful of customers and an unwavering spirit. Through Judy’s dedication and vision, the company built lasting relationships across a wide range of industries—including food processing, binders, resins and additives, oilseeds and grains, dairy processing, and animal nutrition.
More than a decade ago, Judy’s daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and David Barr, took the helm and rebranded the business as Barr Filter Media. Today, the company remains proudly family owned and operated, carrying forward Judy’s legacy of exceptional customer service, high-quality materials, and fast, reliable delivery. Judy continued to serve as a trusted mentor and customer service representative until her passing in May 2024, and her commitment to excellence continues to inspire everything we do.

RCN (Rubber Coated Nylon) Sleeves
RCN is an FDA approved material. This industry mainstay and our most produced solution provides durability and flexibility for reliable performance and is available in almost any configuration. Custom connection options include hems, shock cord ends, drawstrings, center rings, windows, grommets, zippers and tabs.
